Savile Row

Savile Row is an iconic street, with a rich history. It is the home of bespoke tailoring and a destination point for global and domestic visitors looking for the quintessentially British experience.

However, it is a street of two halves.

The southern end of the street is vibrant, with high footfall and visitors moving seamlessly through an enjoyable experience.

The northern end of Savile Row is the opposite, as there are limited reasons for visitors to spend any time at this end of the street and it needs revitalisation.

27 Savile Row has an inaccessible ground floor and inactive façade. The view from Regent Street provides no reason for visitors to take a detour.

By creating high-quality grade A office space, a thriving restaurant and improved public realm, we can celebrate and reinvigorate this famous street.

“We are working closely with the project team on 27 Savile Row to ensure the proposals for the building attract much-needed footfall into Savile Row and surrounding streets to enliven the northern end of this iconic destination.

We are also delighted that following extensive consultation, and in response to the feedback we gave, the developer has made changes to the scheme which include enhancing the ground floor appearance and introducing much needed affordable workspace for apprentice training and start-up opportunities.

The proposals brought forward will create a mixed used building consisting of world-class office space and a new restaurant, all of these changes will bring life, commerce, and footfall to the northern part of this iconic street.”

Celebrating Savile Row in our design

The building’s new façade will offer a unique opportunity to integrate a sculptural element with a chance to further celebrate the history of Savile Row through the lens of a British artist or designer.
